Originally established in a modest workshop back in 1923, Driscoll Motors has evolved to become a one-stop motor repair and service centre in Wellington.

Over 80 Years of History

Driscoll Motors and its predecessor, Macleay & Co Motor Engineers, have been looking after Wellingtonianvehicles for over 80 years.

Shortly after the end of World War II, Albert Driscoll joined the firm. Eventually taking over ownership, the business name was changed to Driscoll Motors. In 1950, Albert’s son John joined the family business and started an apprenticeship.

The third generation of Driscoll joined the firm in 1977, when Leslie started his apprenticeship. In 2011, the fourth generation of Driscoll decided to continue the family tradition, with Daniell starting his apprenticeship.

AA Approved Repair Centre

Driscoll Motors is an AA licensed repairer and is MTA approved. 

We are also an approved repair centre for most major warranty companies.

At Driscoll Motors we value our environment; we have to live here too. As members of the MTA we adhere to the following environmental standards:

Containment Ensure appropriate containment for products and a spill procedure are in place, including a functional spill kit.

Waste Management With the support of our suppliers we do our utmost to recycle all our waste products, such as batteries, oil, filters, coolant, plastic containers, paper and cardboard, tyres and scrap metal etc.
